What are the consequences of non-compliance?
The seller may be required to pay 0.15% of the sales price to the buyer
What happens if the smoke alarms are not compliant?
Generally this gets picked up during building and pest and the buyer will peruse the seller for compensation or demand it be rectified asap
Are there any costs associated with the compliance checks?
Yes, we charge a $95 callout fee, which includes a service and compliance report. If additional alarms are required, we can install them for $119 per alarm or provide a quote to complete the work.
